this is a cellphone field recording I made in June of 2013, and have been meaning to release in some capacity ever since; until now it’s only appeared as part of my July 2013 #SPF420 set, and as a two-minute excerpt on 2015’s Three Thousand Flora. it’s extremely significant to me personally as a wordless cross-section of one of the lowest points of my time in school, and generally as a piece of music, wherein everything seems to of fallen in place perfectly, and completely by chance. ennui, depression, dread, circuitry, repetition, and distant multilayered vectors of beauty... it’s hard to explain, maybe. really, I just love this recording so much.
thank you for listening, and thank you for the support all this time. "Four-year span" has been a lot of fun to work on, despite dredging up some melancholy; it’s put a lot of my work in perspective, and it all feels connected now, wherein previously I was often worried that I was just flailing about. i’ve been going through so much old stuff, while (for real this time!) getting back to making new things. I hope to have new work to share with you all soon! thanks again.
